If'n it ain't one thing....

Our two year old had his tonsils out yesterday. I swear this has been one week and a half. First Caleb with his migraine and then the baby...

The baby did fine (just drunk as a skunk - his doc gave him something to keep him nice and calm  - this kid don't know calm, but drunk he is - at least he's not hurting).

He slept a few hours and then decided he wanted to eat everything in the house and climb up on everything. He's swaying and slurring, his eyes are glassy and he's grinning like most drunks, but he's not complaining.

Today we cut "back" his "funny meds" and see how he does.

And I get an "offer" from a MAN to go out and have to stay home with KIDS - go figure how my "love life" is going.. Had to put him off for a couple of weeks (and I'm really NOT playing hard to get either - just conflicts with MY schedule). Bad timing..

Oh well, look at the bright side... I'm too damn busy to get a headache right now.. (hopefully spoken truthfully).

Ya'll have a good weekend... I'm gonna be dealing with a drunk two year old..  Kiss

You surely do have your hands full most of the time, Barb.  Glad the little guy recovered quickly and I hope Caleb's headache is finally gone!

Spoke too soon. Yesterday was a bad day for Little Bit... he wouldn't drink and just cried. Had to force fluid down him and his meds. But third day is usually the worst, so (fingers crossed) hopefully today will be better.

But the bright spot. The DOCTOR called yesterday morning to see how he was doing. Now how often do you get a doc calling on a Sunday morning? I thought that was really sweet of him.

Anyhow the baby slept most of the day with and without the pain meds and hope he's on the road to better today.

Don't like it when my little ones are sick.. Kiss

I'm out of the family circle stuff, but isn't 2 years old a young age to have tonsils out?  I was four when I got them out and still can remember the experience vividly.  It was kind of a heavy experience, very soar, couldn't talk for days.  In fact when I was brought home from the overnight in the hospital, my sister cried, "What did they do to him!", because I couldn't talk.  Scared her.   Smiley

Babies don't understand as well, presently a tender event, but time will heal.
