Problem getting O2
May 11th, 2012 at 7:11pm

Has anyone had a problem getting O2 with your insurance, my Dr. prescribed it 2 weeks ago, my insurance finally came back and said my Dr. has to Write a letter of Medical Necessity giving a history of what medicines I have taken, what the outcome was, what medicines I am currently taking and how many attacks I get, etc.

I have a amazing insurance usually, never had a problem, even with prescriptions I only pay 2 to 5 dollars.  Has anyone else had to go through this with there insurance??

I am scared this will get denied..

Yes I have. What they are asking for is not uncommon. Your doc should have them or the insurance company. Here's an example for medicaid. They will approve it, the doc has to fill it out though. Wink
