Veteran's Day
Nov 9th, 2012 at 8:30am

Last night I attended a Vetean's Tribute dinner and it was so touching. I don't know when I've felt so Patriotic.

There were vets there from ALL branches of the service from WW1 up thru today. When their flags were posted and their "songs" played they stood up and saluted with PRIDE. Some were disabled, some on walkers, but they STOOD and saluted. That was about as touching as it gets.

I urge everyone to REMEMBER our Vets on 11-11 and never forget what they've given to us.

It's impossible to express my feelings. I've been living in a wonderful time in history because of them.

We renamed our big bridge for them the other day. It was about time too.

...not a day goes by when I don't recall, recognize, and appreciate...and I'm thinking this is one of those occasions where it is appropriate to smile and cry at the same time.....
