Met a clusterhead today

He came in the office today to switch out some O2 tanks while I was there today.  Really nice guy, and he just lives a couple of miles from me.  Looking forward to getting better acquainted with him.

He is just using the normal mask, and is having troubles with it.  I think he is not getting enough oxygen and he is sucking the mask flat on his face trying to get enough air.  I recommended the O2ptimask, but at 15 lpm he is still going to be sucking it flat.  I recommended he get a higher flow regulator, but I have to be careful about that because I'm recommending he go against medical advice, which is a big no-no for our patients.  Medical malpractice is so troubling, and I use the word advisedly.  I know it would not be legally considered malpractice, but in actual practice in my humble (but correct) opinion it is.

If you clearly state "This is what I do..." before everything you say, you're fine.
