Happy Thanksgiving to everyone..
Nov 20th, 2012 at 9:14am

Tis the season and all that... and reading this site.. we have lots to be thankful for.

thanks to Deej we have a place to come when we need it to vent, share, and get and give support.

Over the years we've all shared so much with each other and for that we should all be thankful that we have that experience.

Yesterday, I had a visit from a CHer that I hadn't seen for a while. My idiot son had just "flooded" the house and we were in the midst of "clean up" when he arrived. The gun closet had flooded and we had guns everywhere. He begin yelling before he got in the house that he didn't come to rob us and please don't shoot..  Smiley

By that time my grandson had him in a bear grip and hugging him so tight he was having trouble breathing. Had to pry the kid off so I could get my hugs.

then we sat at the bar, held hands and did a lot of laughing (and ok, we shed a couple of tears remembering some things) but we killed a pot of coffee. I was on the downside of a hit and it was "nice" (if that's the right word) to have someone who actually understood that my energy level wasn't up to par.

Guess what I'm trying to say is that you never know when a blessing will hit you.. Yesterday morning I woke up with a BAD hit and fought it and finally got it down to about a 3, but was shadowing and then the flood in the house and it rived back up and I had to work on it again along with the chaos. My day was just not going that well.. Tongue  THEN the dogs start barking and there's Matt at the door and everything turned bright ..  Smiley

So after Matt left, Caleb and I got dressed and went to Gladewater for the Annual Turkey Bingo and the kid won a Turkey and we had a great time.

I wish each of you the Happiest of Thanksgivings. And watch for your blessings - ya never know when they'll knock on your door..  Kiss

And a Happy Thanksgiving to Each of You..

Hope all of you get a chance to watch the Macy Parade. Have a special reason this year to watch. Our Gladewater High School drill team (the Honeybears) will be marching (and dancing) at 11:06 and all of us "Exes" are tickled pink about that. I think this is the first time that's happened.

And I have to watch for Santa.. after all that's a BIG tradition.. Can't start the Christmas season without that..  Smiley

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!  Thanks to DJ for creating a home where CH survivors can come for support, get help and educate themselves.  And thank you to all for participating!  Without you we wouldn't have so much valuable information, experience and friendship.

May your day, and every day, be blessed.

I am new here and I am thankful for a place to share with others and to be able to read others stories and know that I am not alone. I remember my Wife telling me that my neurologist had a CH er coming in about a month ago and I actually wanted to go meet him because in 19 years living here I haven't met another. My Father in law is epileptic and sees the same Dr.

I am thankful for CH.  Yes, I really mean that!  If it were not for CH I would never have met this wonderful, crazy, irreverent, caring family that I love dearly!

Thanks, again DJ!  I know I have told you before, but I owe you my life.

CH.com has almost certainly saved quite a few lives, marriages and more through a combination of DJ setting it all up and the great people who are here.

For those celebrating Thanksgiving, hope you had a great day and didn't eat too much turkey.
