Ive got something that stops CH dead in its tracks

Greetings folks.
Being a chronc sufferer, I've tried most things now and my poor little body said "right, that's it, I've has enough" and I started having alergic reactions to the very high levels of Verapamil. propranol and all other very nasty prescription medication (which never worked I may add). I've ended up with Arterial Fibulation. But that's a completely different story. Here's the sort of good news when I have bouts of AF, no headaches! I know it's swapping one (quite worrying) problem for another, but at least I can get some respite from the pain. Ok my old ticker leaping around in my chest doing 120bpm isn't too much fun either but it's marginally better than searing pain! So, if someone can find out what happens in the brain (vegas nerve?) when that happens without the racing heart beat we could be on to a winner.

Hang on just a min...............
I'm not saying it's a cure or you should ever go out to try and induce AF because you'd be incredidbly stupid to want to induce this sort of thing. Also
a. You can't just induce arterial fibrulation
b. The risk of a stroke goes through the roof.
c. a whole host of other risky nay terminal problems.

To be quite honest I don't know which is worse, Ok the headaches are worse but as I said earlier I'm swapping one problem for another worse problem.

My point is when I have AF I don't get CH. It stops, no headaches. When I have a normal sinus rhythm the CH comes back with a vengance. Why? I don't know. Is it something to do with the vegas nerve? Is it something to do with my blood pressure going all over the place? You lot appear to know a lot about CH but you just appear to be labling me a crack pot. I'm not a crack pot, nor do I take drugs, prescription or otherwise. I've got a serious problem caused by all of the god awful medication that when it happens the CH stops. It's not a cure nor am I claiming that it is. I trust doctors/so called consultants, who all I get from is "we've had some sucess with", no further than I could collectively pick the whole lot up and throw them. I was hoping that someone here may have a bit of an explanation why this happens as I did value your collective knowledge as suffers far more than someone who has never suffered and is only interested in pushing another pill with nasty side effects down my throat when they've got no idea if it's going to work.

For your information a heart attack is nothing like AF. AF is where your heart beats rapidly.

Several years ago when I was having problems with the high dosages of meds I was prescribed I took myself off of them and replaced them with Kudzu. If you will go to the archives button on the left and search "Kudzu" you will find some helpful threads. Sorry I don't have time to link any of them at present.

As to the AFib, sorry. I don't have any input to share.

A bloke's heart starts doing fruit loops and suddenly he's CH free. Could be any number of things going on in there and perhaps one of them could be benificial to us. The old body is a wondrous thing

Hey CC, we should give you the benefit of the doubt that you were only pointing out a curiousity and not recommending this as a way forward, although your post title was very misleading in this. As I read your post for the second time it seemd to me much more of an anti-prescription stance. Some feel as do you; others do not. I pray you get both under control. God bless. lance

Hey, Pete. Good to see you. I hope you find a balance with the AF & CH.

My neuro is sort of overprotective & won't let me go above a certain amount of verapamil. I have a slight heart irregularity. Unfortunately it doesn't provide any relief.

Being chronic sucks. I know some people think it is better than being episodic, but I think it sucks.

I hope you find a balance & that you still retain some relief. Good luck with the heart problem.
