Changes in my headaches after years
Jan 19th, 2013 at 12:34pm

My CH always were cyclical, coming in bunches during the spring and fall.  Now they seem to be coming at all different times and no longer fit any pattern.  Has this happened to anyone else?  Another new thing is I find my limbs sort of jerking or convulsing after the headaches.  My Dr. said it was myoclonic, but I don't think it fits that pattern.  Does this sound familiar to anyone?  Thanks for your help!

The pattern changing...yeah, that happens A LOT. One of the more annoying traits of CH is just when you think you have a good handle on how your CH's run, they totally change.

The jerking limbs stuff....I have not heard of that. What kind of meds does your doc have you on, could they be causing these side effects???

"Somebody had to say it" is usually a piss poor excuse to be mean.

I've not experienced what you describe, but since even hiccups can be termed myoclonic, your doc may have just been describing the incident rather than diagnosing it. Still, since myoclonus can be a sign of something more serious, did your doc suggest a full neurological workup? If not, I would note how often this occurs, keep a ledger on it, and insist on an explanation. As far changing patterns, yup. Sucks, but there it is. blessings. lance
