Awesome that the beast has finally let you go for a bit. I only get the acne at the end of my pred cycle, but it's brief in duration and clears within a few weeeks after I've been off of the pred. Sadly it might be time to visit the skin doc to see what's up. Undecided I haven't read any posts showing acne as a secondary condition to the other meds but who knows?

Zazzed,

Off hand, I'd say the present skin problem sounds like a continued reaction to the prednisone you took earlier...  You previously reported bruising and acne after starting the pred taper.  Does this skin breakout look similar?

See your doc about a lab test for 25(OH)D.  Prednisone plays heck with calcium homeostasis, and as such, consumes the available vitamin D3 metabolite, 25(OH)D.

Take care,

V/R, Batch

I have always gotten terrible acne from pred tapers.  Usually kicked in as I finished and took a few weeks to clear.
