Not All Vitamin D Supplements Are Created Equal

I just found this article in USA Today, and thought I would share. It discusses testing on D3 supplements commonly found in stores and the importance of brands with USP or other laboratory guarantees on the label. From the article.."Researchers who tested vitamin D pills sold in stores found they contained from 9% to 140% of the doses listed on labels, according to a research letter published Monday in JAMA Internal Medicine. Though none of the pills was likely to be dangerous, some contained too little of the vitamin to effectively treat someone with a deficiency, the researchers say."

This is very interesting as i have heard this before and am going to do a bit of research into this and also discuss this with Batch as it may account for some folks not getting the proper dosage to become CH free and for now i would say stay away from the cheap brands and use the recommended brand by Batch and maybe a brand like GNC, Nature Made or other reputable brand. Agree...and we are so different physiologically, that one size fits all rarely works in matters of health. The best we can do at the beginning stages of trying this new treatment is to get the most reliable ingredients we can afford and stay up to date on the dosing and blood work recommendations.
