Seems to works for some and for some it doesn't. Somebody I know personally has good success with it. But it is experimental:

Quote:
... seven (25%) achieved pain relief in ≥50% of treated attacks.

Source: Schoenen, J.; Jensen, RH.; Lantéri-Minet, M.; Láinez, MJ.; Gaul, C.; Goodman, AM.; Caparso, A.; May, A. (Jan 2013). "Stimulation of the sphenopalatine ganglion (SPG) for cluster headache treatment. Pathway CH-1: A randomized, sham-controlled study.". Cephalalgia. Seven out of 28 = 25% = not much.

If you can read German, here's some more information:

I do read german. Will do so tonight. But is it really like attacking the attack at the moment? Or, like ons, a preventative?

Thanks for the information.

The trial was originally planned for acute attack treatment only but they also found that 10 of the patients had a ≥50% reduction in attack frequency.
