Internal Medicine\Choirpractic Dr.?
Mar 7th, 2013 at 7:52pm

I'm in the 8th week of my second cycle.  I'm on Varapamil and the vita d regimen.  Started feeling much better last few days actually pain free today.  A few weeks ago I went to a Internal Medicine Dr.  I was told he did enzyme testing and might be able to help figure out any deficiencies.  Seen him a few times now.  Insurance does not cover him and he isn't cheap,  Not really getting any answers I want from him and seems like a bunch of chiropractic work that seems to inflame my trigeminal nerve.  Not sure if I should continue to go and should I just have requested blood test from PCP to find any problems other than Vita D.  Love to know if anyone else has done anything similar and the results.
Thanks

A bone and neck doctor? It did not work for me an i spent a virtual 4000 dollars. It might work for you. I did feel better afterwards. They are doing something right.

He uses acupuncture/chiropractic methods and uses diet and nutrition to solve health issues.  I just feel like I know more about cluster headaches that he does and we are going through the motions so he can get paid.  Plus I have a Neuro that is willing to listen.

Does it help? It did not for me. It relaxed me. For a price.

So far no.  He also has me on a no sugar diet.  I understand that blood sugar play a part with headaches but have read on here that blood sugar levels do not play a part in cluster headaches.  My PCP checks my blood sugar every year and has never been a issue.  My pain had moved to my neck and top of my head and he wants to do neck x rays but thats how most of my headaches were in my first cycle and I have read on here that it is common for the headaches to move to the neck and top of the head.  Seems like I could save myself a bunch of cash and just work with my Neuro who has given me prevent and abort meds along with oxygen.  I was hoping to discover a way to help through nutrition but it sounds like its gonna continue to be pricey and Batch's vita d regimen might be the answer anyway, seems like it is working for me  after a couple weeks feeling much better.

Difficult to give you advise. I've spent a lot on these things. For me i did not help. Verapamil?

Yes been on 240mg for a couple weeks.  Started it about the same time as the Vita D Regimen .  first 7 weeks were rough but seemed like the combo of the 2 is working.  Today was fist day pretty much pain free since Jan 16.  Mine are during the day and last most of the day.

Give Verapamil a chance. Take the normal ones. Non retard. Here the building up from mu doctor:

Morgen Middag Avond
2 weken: 120mg 120mg
Laat ECG maken; bij normaal ECG ga verder:
2 weken neem: 120mg 120mg 120mg
Laat ECG maken; bij normaal ECG ga verder:
2 weken: 120mg 120mg 240mg
Laat ECG maken; bij normaal ECG ga verder:
2 weken: 240mg 120mg 240mg
Laat ECG maken; bij normaal ECG ga verder:
2 weken: 240mg 240mg 240mg
Laat ECG maken; bij normaal ECG ga verder:
2 weken: 240mg 240mg 360mg
Laat ECG maken; bij normaal ECG ga verder:
2 weken: 360mg 240mg 360mg

It's in Dutch. Discuss with your Doctor. "weken" is weeks. every two weeks an ECG.

Morgen= morning
Middag = midday
Avond  = evening

So every two weeks you are building up
