A Rhyming Poem Of Cluster Headache Pain And Joy
Apr 29th, 2013 at 1:21pm

A rhyming poem of cluster headache pain and joy....

To the world I know unsure, when once i only knew but pure.

Once a simple life, without the feeling of this damn knife is now but a dream,

now I lay here trying desperately to sleep but can only manage a subtle scream.

My head once so clear is now muddled with cluster, uncertainty, pain and fear.

Pain so intense like standing on a fence not sure to which side I fall,

I pray for clarity and now realize I truly know nothing...nothing at all.

To find relief without losing belief has always been my mind,

To see the light and never take flight will keep me from becoming blind.

Now I'm hurting, crying and scared hands nailed painfully to the wall...

Banging my head, heart filled with dread echoing...echoing down the hall.

I hold my head in hands and hide,

sighing, wishing someone would pull this knife from my eye

then... as it leaves and I feel relief i find my son close to my side.

To realize this life is wonderful, beautiful and full of joy

after wondering, waiting, doubting and then

taking just one look at my precious... precious boy....

By, Johnny

Good one, Johnny. Putting pen to paper can be as effective as any medication.

(My writings are unprintable.)

I loved your Poem Johhny.  It was very heartfelt.  Good luck with the contest!  Words that WE can all identity with.

Certainly I haven't forgotten your request, Johnny, but my "home computer" is little more than a mobile phone with an 8th grade education and a teenager's attitude.

My great regret since falling victim to ch.com is that I never collected each poem as it came along. Some are funny, some are sad, all are heart-felt and you can taste the tears.

I'll be back in town soon and will trawl the archives, see if I can't find something to make you smile.

Cheers and beers,

Brian down under.
