I know its been talked about before, but not for a while, so I will pass the word that I can get a great nights sleep taking an Amerge, or naratriptan, tablet before bed.  It only works for about 2 nights in a row, then they wont work for about another week or so, but for those of us that get hit all night during REM phases, it is a GREAT little vacation.  Timing of taking the pill is important as well.  I know I get hit about 45min -1hr after falling asleep, so I make sure  to take the pill 1 hr before trying to go to sleep.   Of course its not a good abortive, but, like I said,  its a nice little vacation for me, and maybe for others, because its longer lasting than other triptans.  I am also taking verap, and I dont know if that is helping it to work through the night or not.  Ask your docs.  Cheesy

480mg verap,  but it does nothing on its own anymore.  It helps at the beginning of a cycle, in fact i dotn know why I bother taking it anymore.

Yes.

Back when I used Triptans, Amerge always gave me a much needed night or two off from the horror of waking to K8 or worse. Better in that respect than any other Triptan - yes, chronic for over 13 years gave me extensive experience with all of them -even blending them under medical supervision.
