Hi All,
I had my first CH in November 1969 when working as a sales
rep in Scotland.I went to a chemist seeking help, and was
told it be sinus related and gave some tabs which did not
work. The headache's were coming twice a day lasting for
1hr then fading away. Not being able to cope with the pain
any longer i headed home to Oxford where i'm from.I went
to see my GP who popped me straight into hospital for tests
Lumber Puncture. X.rays.When the results came back i was
told i had a disease known as Cluster headache and was put
on Migral which i was taking every Spring and Autumn until
2005 when my GP put me on Imigran. My last episode was
Spring 2012 when i took things in my own hands and came
up with my own pain free remedy which i'm still working on.
And for the first time since 1969 not a Autumn CH in sight
and only a couple of weeks to go.Now i'll wait for Spring 2013 and see what happens.
Until next time.
Hoppy.

G'day Hoppy and you can bet there's many of us interested to hear about your new method of coping with these monsters. It's not as though we're nosey, we're just nosey, and anything new is a bonus.

Did you know there's an excellent support group right there in old Blighty? It's called OUCH.UK and may be able to help with the local info.

Looking forward to hearing more from you,

Antipodean Brian.

Hi Brian,
Hoping your having pain free days.I'm no longer living in the
UK i emigrated to the land of OZ as a 10 pound Pom back in
1972.Go back for holiday's heading back later this year.On
your ? about my remedy.Firstly i stopped eating all processed foods i.e Bacon, Cheese, Salami, Sausage, ect. Also all alcohol
and smoking. Replaced by drinking lots of water during the day.
Then if i felt a shadow i would drink a very strong cup of coffee
or a energy drink ( RED BULL ) If CH persised i got ice blocks
from the freezer wrapped in a handkerchief and soaked my
right temple and the back of my lower neck. The pain would
only get to a 5 and gone in 15 min. This was my last episode
Spring 2012.Since then i have been experimenting with
Vitamins and for the first time in 43yrs no Autumn CH. I'm
keeping my fingers crossed it's just not a fluke but time will
tell when Spring arrives. I will keep you updated.
Cheers, Hoppy.

No bacon? No bangers? No Bavarian blue? No booze???  Fair dinkum, reckon I'd rather have CH!  To update, there's a local support group called clusterheadaches.com.au.

You may also choose to consider the famous D3 vitamin regime available right here at no extra cost. Many are getting great relief and even if it doesn't help, it can't hurt.

Glad you've enjoyed an Autumn remission but that's likely because the Wallabies have been doing well against those dastards from over the ditch. Our real problems begin when the AllBlacks again stoop to such depths to cheat our gentlemen players from yet another justly-deserved victory. A national CH pandemic after the last tour!

Where abouts in the country are you?  Fourex bitter? Swan lager? Tooheys draught or Southwark perhaps.

Dinki di, Hoppy, these seppo's really are a good mob. Blokes like BobG are up faster than a bride's nightie when some cove's in strife with a bonce going bonkers.

They just need some edjumacation on the lingo, but it's my first shout when they front the rubbedy!

Hmm, doing really well means getting a draw? Well at least all the rest of the world knows that the All Blacks are simply the best, work champions and the Bledisloe Cup seems to be always on the right side of the ditch.

And even with a kiwi coach (just like most other countries), there isn't much improvement.

Still, at least we'd never resort to underarm bowling...

Anyway, g'day from this side of the ditch.
