mine are always on the right side, i try to stay awake so i can do O2 when i feel the shadow creeping up my neck to the back of my head. sometimes it helps with lots of coffee. soon as it starts to get dark outside i make sure a pot is ready. i have a big ole O2 generator, i call him r2d2, he only does up to 10 lpm, but life would be much worse without that bit of help. wish i had a more powerful one,but... Legion. when they wake me up or O2 is not working feels like an attack from demons. like they r sawing my head in half but they get stuck in the middle and just keep sawing away, while another is behind my eye with an ice pick pushing it through, while several stand and jump on the side of my head. tears literally squirt from that eye. even a bit of light seems blinding on that side and will wear sunglasses most of the night. i usually pass out wasted from the pain n exhaustion around 6 am and can finally sleep some. upwards of 10 attacks a night now every night. if i succeed in putting one down with O2

I'm sorry for you man thats brutal 2 years ago was my worst year to date.  I was literally getting like 10-20 attacks a day ranging from 20-50 minutes.  that lasted from July to beginning of October.  I really dont know how I made it through that.  I didn't have any abortive just sumatriptan pills but they never worked in time.

Good luck to you hopefully after your cycle ends you'll get like a 10 year PF streak.

Sorry to hear that you are in a rough cycle.  Good description of the pain but, one thing I can say about my deamons is that they all use RUSTY and DULL saws and ice pics.

Hope all gets better for you soon.  Hang in there....
