Lithium for the treatment of bipolar disorder, (Manic Depression.) Why is it prescribed for cluster headaches?
Its use is well established in the prophylaxis of some
headaches related to cluster headaches,
(Trigeminal autonomic cephalgias) particularly Hypnic headache.
Drugs that will affect Lithium, "Verapamil." Smiley

For several years the only pharmaceuticals that kept the beast at bay for me was what is referred to as the "chronic cocktail." Lithium and verapamil. Daily I took 900mg of lithium and 480mg of verapamil.

Got pretty sick and tired of the side effects.

G'day Brew,
Wow, thats one hell of a cocktail. I was on Migral for half
of my adult life and thought that was bad enough, no
gangrene lucky for me, but lots of nausea.I did note that
one of the main side effects of Verapamil were headaches!
