Alcohol as a trigger
Jul 19th, 2013 at 4:39pm

I can't drink ANY wine in cycle.  I'm in CH before I finish the first glass.  BUT! Clear spirits (rangpur Gin at the moment) do not seem to trigger.  So, knock on wood, I just had a Gin and Tonic. . Cheesy

Hi Jim,
Red wine and Beer are my worst enemies during a cycle.

Cheers, Hoppy.

Same here, Hoppy, but last night I couldn't even handle white wine.  For the record, the Gin and tonic did trigger a CH which I aborted with 10 minutes of O2 and an ice pack on my neck...and some pushups. Embarrassed

You said a mouthful there Hoppy. I started D3 therapy early June, things went well so took my first drink early July, didn't want to push my luck so each time I restricted myself to one drink at any given time and everything's been great till Friday evening. We took the boat out and anchored out for the night, beautiful evening, had two and a half drinks and you know the rest of the story before I even tell it.
Didn't bring my oxygen so I just went along for the ride. Coulda been worse, it wasn't a 9 or a 10 but it sure was a slap in the face. Upping the D3 for a few days to get back on course, hopefully this cycle will die a natural death soon.

Then there's those who can drink beer right throughout a cycle and have even used it as a weapon to fight the beast on its own ground.

I won't mention names, of course, especially after the hate mail I received last time I admitted it.
