fish oil question
Aug 2nd, 2013 at 10:04am

I apologize if this question has been addressed elsewhere - if so, I've yet to see it.  I'm almost 2 weeks into the D3 regimen and am very hopeful but still having episodes.  The fish oil capsules I'm taking are 1000mg size, but of that only 300mg is Omega-3.  Is the 1000-1200mg fish oil called for in the regimen simply fish oil containing Omega-3, or should I be ingesting 1000-1200mg of Omega-3 specifically?  Thanks in advance for any clarification you can provide.

Batch's recommendation is "Omega 3 Fish Oil - 1000 to 1200 mg/day (EPA 360 mg/day, DHA 240 mg/day)"

For example "Nature Made Fish Oil 1200mg" contains 360mg Omega-3 EPA and 300mg Omega-3 DHA per softgel.

So pretty certain (and someone will correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure) that one of these tablets will meet the requirements. No need to take four of them.... I hope...  Shocked

Each serving size of the NatureMade Fish Oil dietary supplements = 2 liquid softgels.

1 serving = 2 softgels = 2400mg fish oil concentrate containing Omega-3 EPA 360mg, Omega-3 DHA 240mg.

Hope this helps clarify any confusion Wink

Gregg-

Hmmm... The label on my container specifically states "Serving size: 1 softgel" and the listed mg for EPA and DHA is listed under "Amount Per Softgel".  Huh

Yeah- Mine is the "ONE PER DAY Fish Oil 1200mg 720mg Omega-3". So we obviously have different models so to speak....

JH86,
I just went to their website and clicked on fish oil.  There are 13 similar products offering fish oil and Omega-3.

I see the one you bought and the bottle I bought; two different types.

We are both correct! Wink

Bottom line is READ THE LABEL as each bottle may differ in mg and serving size, despite the NatureMade Fish Oil Omega 3 bottles looking very similar.

Learned that the hard way. Was taking only one Magnesium Citrate tab for a while and was thinking I was getting 400mg. I mean the BIG letters on the label said 400mg. But the really teeny ones on the back said you have to take 2 for that.  Angry
