I was just wondering,whilst chilling out here in the hot Italian sun . And,it not being a trigger for me.How many of my fellow clusterheads it is. .

No problem with the sunlight being a trigger.

For temperature, the hottest I've experienced whilst in cycle is in the mid 40s whilst over in Perth, Australia which if anything helped prevent them. And before people think the mid 40s are rather cold, that is around 45C, so about 113F.

Not a trigger but the bright sun is very painful to my eye while in cycle.  Lots of squinting and shades.

I must chime in on this thread considering I live in one of the hottest and sunniest places on Earth.  My cycles often begin in August which is toward the end of our 7 month (April--October) summer here in Sin City. 

As for sunshine, it's always sunny and blue skies here and I miss the common cloudy overcast sky days of when I was living in the midwest and east coast.  I don't go anywhere without sunglasses, so the sun does not bother me.

I have found that excessive heat usually starts my cycle.  Every July I go on vacation up north into the green mountains to cool off and after a week or two I must return to this sandbox feeling a hot blowdryer of 115+F with 20 MPH winds.  Usually within a week or so, my cycle begins.  Coincidence of going from cold and humid to extreme heat and dry weather?  I don't think so as I believe the sudden heat change of extreme temps is a trigger for most of my cycles starting.

Often wearing a long sleeved shirt and tie with long pants, sox and closed toe shoes doesn't feel too comfy in the hellish heat going door to door to 50+ business/daily, especially 3 summers of driving around for 8 hours/day without A/C.  Solution to this problem is get an indoor job and keep the A/C running cold.

Dehydration is a never ending challenge and have noticed always feeling better when drinking lots of water and eating regularly scheduled nutritious meals.

Some CH'ers would agree where we live has much impact on our cycles beginning and ending, triggers, duration of cycle, along with frequency and intensity of attacks.

I look forward to moving as soon as opportunity presents itself elsewhere.

Well, this is all getting really interesting...

In the past 7 years or so, all my annual cycles but one were between May and September. Of course, I found this research about body temperature & CH. However, we do know attacks may be triggered by numerous things, most of which are not exclusive to summer.   

So I asked myself what else could be so special about summer that it is my weakest link. Came out with three possible triggers:

a. nutrient loss due to excess sweating during summer. This would explain why the D3 regimen works for many.
b. imbalanced hormones / neurotransmitters due the a longer exposure to sun light. We know sunlight decompose melatonin and affects serotonin.
c. stressed muscles around the eyes and face and / or changes in brain activity, as a response to the stronger sun light and / or difference in light wave length.

For "c", I started using sunglasses this summer.

I thought this thread might answer some of your  .
It would seem that heat and sun outside is a trigger for
CH's. But no one has mentioned heat being a trigger when inside.
