Help and Advice

Has anyone had CH's that each year seem to get worse and change in the symptoms?

Last year I skipped my usual cycle of getting the beast between Oct-Dec.

This year I'm getting them now. I have the usual of tearing right eye, sinus pressure, burning eye and so on.

The weird part this year is they wake me non stop. I think in the last 72 hours I've gotten 7 hours of sleep. The cycle I got them once while sleeping, dealt with and I was good to go for the night. Not this year.

I've read through the boards for the non-medication fixes. I slammed a Monster, whoaaaa, bad idea. Thought my heart was coming out of my chest. What seems to help is a cycle of my best friend..the bag of frozen veggies and a scalding hot wash cloth over my right eye.

I have to wait till Tuesday to get into my PCM and see if I can get a referral to a specialist or what he can prescribe me for the next few weeks, till it goes away until next year.

Any suggestions are most appreciated.

Hi Flow Oxygen is going to be your best friend until the beast leaves.  Make sure the doctor give you that.  As far as a normal cycle...my experience has been you never can tell what or when the beast will raise his head.

Zomig nasal spray works well for me as a abortive med (I use it when I am not near my oxygen).  I hope this info helps you.
