Back again old friends
Sep 13th, 2013 at 9:40am

Hi there old friends,
After 20 months pain free it appears the beast has raised his ugly head.  Got my O2 prescription redone, 4 tanks in the ready and hoping and praying this one doesn't last 6 months long like the last cycle.  I don't  bother going to a Neuro any more as all the prevents have done is extend my cycle.....so I stick to O2 and every once in awhile take a TrexaMet (samples I have held on to) to get a better night's sleep. I also have a gallbladder that seems to be acting up so I will be doing a gallbladder flush this weekend and maybe getting rid of some of the toxicity in my body will help the cycle...who really knows???  I take fish oil, calcium and 5000mgs of Vit D daily along with lots of other nutritional supplements and have added lemon juice.....Thanks Batch....and we will wait and see.

I work for a Naturopath now and I appreciate his approach to my ailments.  He has added 400mgs daily of CoQ10.  It is supposed to be very good for brain health.

I am sorry I haven't been on the site for so long.....but you know how it is when they go away.....I turn 60 in December and the devil has decided to send a birthday present early....Love you all and will be here to listen and help in any way I can.  This is year number 25 or 26 for me.

Love and prayers,
Karen

Hey Karen,

It's been a while...  Sorry the beast chased you back here... We hope you can turn tables and chase the beast away.

Take care,

V/R, Batch

You love lots of things if you live around them. But there isn't any woman and there isn't any horse, that’s as lovely as a great airplane. If it's a beautiful fighter, your heart will be ever there

Thanks y'all!

Thanks Batch for the advice. Thanks Guiseppie!

I realised I was only taking about 1200mg -13000mg of EPA/DHA and the Dr recommends 4000mg so I know that needs to increase and I might as well up my vitamin D3 to 10,000 daily.  I am doing a gallbladder flush and that means drinking organic apple juice for 3 days and then the olive oil and lemon flush (sounds pretty yuck) but I gotta say that my body overall is feeling better due to being more alkaline with the apple juice.  I have a juicer and I probably should get started doing more juicing during the cycle....alkaline juicing.  I had done that for a week before and felt amazing.

Also:  It just so happens we go on vacation to Colorado in a week.  Going to Colorado Mts during the first part of the cycle has broken it.  It has happened twice before.  God figure???!!!???  But I'll take it.  Packing the car with the O2 tanks in the meantime.

OK....just wanting to share again with my old friends.
Love y'all,
Karen

Welcome back, just sorry that the reason for it is the end of a long pain free break from CH.

It sounds like you've got everything lined up to do battle with the beast, so hope you only have a short cycle and you're soon back to enjoying pain free time.

Let's hope the elevation pushes the beast into the canyon again! Wink

I, too, have been MIA for quite awhile aside from a couple of random posts and finally getting around to making an illustrated version of DJ's Imitrex tip as a "pay-it-forward" since his original tip helped me so much. Me, being a bit of an introvert by nature when it comes to dealing with pretty much anything, I don't post a great deal while I'm here battling, and it's just too easy to stay away when the beast goes back to its cave, of course.

But, unfortunately, I'm back with the beast in tow, so I'm right along with ya. On the bright side of being away a bit, Batch's D3 concept is new to me, so I'm already giving that a whirl and crossing fingers, and it sounds like you are two. May we both find some pf days and nights, Karen.
