Constant Shadow .. advice?
Sep 24th, 2013 at 12:59pm

Don't mean to monopolize the board with all my recent posts, but this has been the most unusual cycle. I think the new regiment of D3, O2, Depakote, etc. is arresting the cycle, as I've only had two bad hits in several days now, but I've kept a constant Shadow for almost a week that I just can't shake. Any advice other than what I'm already doing with the meds/supplements that might help relieve these? Thanks!

Red

I occasionally use excederin migraine. It's not something you want to use regularly as you risk rebounds but it's okay for the occasional use.

If Monster and O2 doesn't do it, that's when I turn to something like Migranal (DHE). I don't need fast relief, I need something longer term. I usually get 24-36 hours of pf time from a double sniff of Migranal. blessings. lance

Advil + a strong coffee or an energy drink usually works for my shadows but it's not something that you can use too often. All NSAIDs damage your digestive system in some point. A good rub to the neck and shoulders might be surprisingly helpful.

I use 5 Hour Energy drink. It comes in a 2oz. bottle but half that is enough to kill my shadow in less than 10 minutes.
Warning: it tastes like skunk piss.

If it was made from skunk piss but it worked, I'm sure we'd still use it.

I'm still not sure what Red Bull actually tastes like as I've only ever had it when my head is being attacked by the beast, so tasting it is the last thing on my mind.
