Vitamin D2 and D3 Cluster Headaches
Oct 1st, 2013 at 3:39pm

Hi my doctor has started me on 50000iu d2 today. I have already taken it. My level was at 10.2 he said normal level was 32-100. I asked him if I could take D3 also with D2 as it sometimes helps cluster headaches. He told me no he has never heard that and that I only need to take D2. My question is would it be safe to take 2000iu d3 along with the 50000iu d2 that he has prescribed me. Thanks.

Hi Sean,
My answer would be no, thats the normal response from
doctors today. For the D3 Regime to work, it's best to
stick with the vitamin D3 and save yourself the cost of
D2.

Hoppy.

Fire your doctor if he is that un-receptive. Seriously.  My Nuro has been awesome and enthusiastic about my D3 documentation from Batch and this site.

Hey Sean,

Send your doctor the following three links or copy this PM, past it into an email and send it to him.  The first two links provide the rationale for using vitamin D3 and not vitamin D2.

The third link provides information gathered from an online survey of CH'ers using of the Anti-Inflammatory Regimen with 10,000 IU/day vitamin D3 as a cluster headache preventative.  80% of the CH'ers taking this survey reported they experienced a significant reduction in the frequency, severity and duration of their CH... 60% reported they experienced a lasting pain free Response:

You love lots of things if you live around them. But there isn't any woman and there isn't any horse, that’s as lovely as a great airplane. If it's a beautiful fighter, your heart will be ever there

Batch I love this article. I am getting injections in my head again tomorrow and I am going to ask my doctor if he would be opposed to reading these articles. As they are really informative and could help in my case. Thanks again.
