Cluster Poetry
Oct 5th, 2013 at 6:40am

When I coming down from an episode, my mind is racing from the pain and large caffeine that I've put into my body. Sometimes I see words floating in front of my eyes...Hey, nobody said I was sane!

Anyways, I found ways to cope and one of which was to take those words and write short poems about them. I take the words and wrap them into 3-5 quatrains. I call it impromptu poetry because I typically am done in 15 min or less. Some are light, many are dark. Here's one of my favs I call "Shadows"

Hints of what was
What is
What can be
Never fading

Remaining beyond imagination
Running thoughts of madness
Sanity beyond the grasp of comprehension
No solace, no light, no darkness

Figures, movements, flashes
Come forth, come fight!
Take what you must
Capture the soul

Drain me of my being
Nothing but a shadow remains

It's pushing 10 years since I became a victim of ch.com and I regret only that I never made a collection of every poem that's appeared here.

Many have been magical, others horrible, but every one of them was written from the heart.

Long may the pen be mightier than beastie's sword!
