Hi All,
Just a thought. I'ts been known that drinking lots of water
during the day, and before going to bed, can help to control
CH's. Smiley Smiley Smiley.

Good Luck, Hoppy.

I could probably drink more water during the day, but I personally haven't noticed a difference between days when I drink 6 glasses or days when I drink a lot more than that.
I haven't had nocturnal headaches in over a year thanks to melatonin though Cheesy

And that doesn't get mentioned often enough, a safe, inexpensive way for many to avoid the night time terrors. Great to hear it's keeping the night time beasty under wraps for ya.

just at 15mg too. I've gone to 20mg for a couple weeks but I've been steady at 15mg and I haven't had an actual headache at night sense last october.
I've had some pretty awful shadows, but no actual headaches, thanks for the tip

Again it boils down to, we are all different, what works for
one may not necessarly work for another.

I got good results using 5mg melatonin + 2-4mg slow release melatonin.

And drinking 1-2 glasses of water on the onset of an attack is usually a good idea.

I've tried to drink water as I've started to get an attack but it I just spill it all over myself from the thrashing and my hands shaking

I have actually aborted some CH by holding ice cold water in my mouth, swallowing and then doing it again and again. Other times...no help at all. I think it's the same as breathing in ice cold air in winter through my mouth..sometimes it works, sometimes not.

I noticed last winter that walking outside when it was really cold (these Maine winters am I right) helped calm down my shadows.
