Early Fall and a new cycle has begun :(
Nov 14th, 2013 at 9:09am

Hello all,

Just began a new fall cycle last week.  So far it's not terrible but it's gaining strength day by day.  Horners syndrome is starting to get worse and I suppose I will start my rebel look (wearing dark sunglasses for a while).  I have been on Topamax for 6 months now, 200mg daily.  It has certainly helped in lessening the severity and frequency of the attacks but hasn't stopped them.
Was hoping it would pass as my fall cycles are a breeze compared to my spring cycles but this one is stronger than usual.  They do seem to get worse year by year.  Probably time to start vitamin D. Debating whether to just start prednisone immediately even though I hate it!  It's still better than the beast and looking like I've had a stroke for the next few weeks Sad
Missing work today.  Can't really open my right eye.  The headache isn't actually terrible this morning, yesterday and last night is another story, but I still have the facial symptoms, pressure in my ear and the extreme fogginess and neck pain that I experience along with it. I'm worn out.
So I am just going to stay in bed.  Sometimes a day of rest will calm the symptoms a little.
Someone needs to figure out a way to kill the beast!  I am a research scientist maybe I should change my specialty, though this week my brain is too foggy to be of use.
Well thanks for listening to me everybody.
Have a pain free day!

Michael

Sorry he didn't lose your address. Undecided Do give the D-3 regimen a look see:

Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

The best part of the regimen is it's good for you even without CH. I'm over 3 years pain free on it, certainly worth a look see. Hoping you get a handle on this cycle soon.

Joe

"Somebody had to say it" is usually a piss poor excuse to be mean.

What Joe said!

Also - Have you spoken with your Doc about Verapamil?  Topamax has some nasty side affects...

Pain is a wonderful teacher and motivator...
