Selfie originated in Australia with a young drunk first using the word to describe a self-portrait photograph of a cut lip when he tripped on a set of steps. Hoppy.

Vegas quickly realized both were stupid ideas and quit taking credit for them. On this subject, today's news reported that AAA has issued a danger warning about taking 'selfies' while driving!
