A bit speculative, but sounds good. Judge for yourself.

A recent study has, again, found a link between certain gene mutation and CH

One of the genes, ADH (4), is involved in the metabolization of both alcohol/methanol and retinol, the most common animal form of Vitamin A

This might explain not only why we can't handle liqueur but also why we may be Vitamin A deficient. Which could also lead to Vitamin D deficiency and poor absorption of metabolites like calcium and magnesium, all of which included in the D3 regimen - which could explain why it works for so many.
