The Commercialization of Medical Knowledge

The following link may be an eye opener for many who are not familiar with the fact that statins do not really improve longevity, or that the Big Pharma bottom line controls too much of the medical standards of care treatments with expensive pharmaceuticals approved by the FDA based on RCTs paid for by Big Pharma... with shaky medical evidence...

Read the interview in the link below then you decide...

You love lots of things if you live around them. But there isn't any woman and there isn't any horse, that’s as lovely as a great airplane. If it's a beautiful fighter, your heart will be ever there

Yep, .... and I get real tickled when they give all the "side effects" on the commercials.. some of them are contradictive to the treatment.

My favorite is the one for headaches.. the side effect - "Can cause headaches!" Go figure... Roll Eyes

Back years ago when Marcus Welby, MD was on TV on Thursday night.. the clinic staff dreaded Friday mornings.. every little old lady in the county would come in with the symptoms of whatever Dr. Welby cured the night before.  Smiley

Today, the phar. companies are advertising their latest "break-thrus" in modern medicine to cure everything from hang-nails to cancer and everyone wants to try them. It's ridiculous, but ....

Off soapbox..  Kiss

No doubt....they are in it for the bottom line...that's what they do...it's why they exist.

It's the individuals that follow that path for personal gain that really bother me.
