April 15th is upon us..
Apr 13th, 2014 at 9:05am

For those of you who haven't filed your taxes -- it's that TIME..

And for those who know me.. My hair is gray (what I haven't pulled out yet). This tax season has been a bugger.. Got a lot of extensions to file Tuesday for people. Think I'll be working till Oct on them. And clients still calling remembering it's April..  Smiley

I now have a new helper (and partner) so some of the work load is off me and that helps a lot. (Still trying to retire someday). But I'm now in a teaching mode.

My friend Carolyn (who died a few years ago) daughter has moved in with me and will (hopefully) eventually take over my practice, but we've got a lot of certifications and learning to do before that can be completed. She's young and got more energy than old Granny, but we're working on it.

So this is another tax season I've gotten thru and hopefully the rest of the year will be a lot easier on me with some help on hand. I'm looking forward to some "play time"..

So if you don't have your taxes filed  - get your extension in by Tuesday.. Granny has spoken..  Kiss

Barb, I'm self employed so I file my quarterlies on time.  So, April 15th doesn't mean tax day to me anymore because they are done by the end of February.

For me it's when Spring comes on strong, the world is greening up, the calves and lambs are growing, and the Grandkids get to sharpen their skills ringing some steel plates.

I'm with you Mark.. Mine are done in Feb, but my clients don't do things that quickly.

But got all the extensions filed and the weather was beautiful yesterday afternoon so I had a "porch" day and just enjoyed watching the dogwoods send pollen into the air..  Smiley

I'm so ready for Spring to be here for good.. I love having coffee on the porch and watching to sun come up in the mornings.

People who don't live in the boondocks surrounded by woods just don't know what they're missing..  Kiss

Barbara you are so lucky to live in such a lovelly place. I live in the suburbs of a big city. I do have a pretty garden though and I also enjoy my morning tea outside listening to the bird song.I couldn't bear to live right in the city where the brightest colour is grey.
