What are your triggers?

Go ahead and list what triggers your headaches...so far, the only thing besides time itself that trigger mine is alcohol.

Haven't found correlation with other things.

apparently being a human being alive on Earth is my trigger.

Definitely alcohol (which is sad, cuz I love my wine).

ANY and ALL changes in weather (which really sucks since I live in FL and it changes every 10 minutes).

Alcohol, chocolate, and cheesy jumbo hot dogs. Actually, any kind of aged cheese or processed meats.  Ick.

REM sleep. Barometric pressure below 30.00. Strong smells such as air fresheners, flavored candles, old-lady-going-to-church perfume.

LOVE it!!

Mine are sleep deprivation, major sleep cycle disruptions, sustained stress, extreme hunger and alcohol.

Very similar to mine although it is a reduction in stress for me (vacations / weekends) but no problems with alcohol (I'm one of the lucky ones).

It is interesting that my migraine triggers are very similar to my CH ones other than the addition of caffeine and chocolate as triggers.

All processed foods that contain nitrates.
Chocolate.
Cheese.
Pizza.
Alcohol.
But, only when I'm in a cycle.

It's such an important topic.

Though thinking about it - I'm not sure there is a (specific) trigger, or maybe everything is a trigger when in cycle.
I tried finding out about it so I'll know what to avoid, at some point I've come to think everything that made other people feel good (smoking, drinking, eating delicious foods) would be a trigger for me.
I got over that, because it was too depressing Sad

The one thing I do avoid is stressful situations as much as I can. I don't have a medical proof for that but I tend to start my cycles when I'm most needed at work or school or home.
And when a cycle starts - I give up physical exercising.
(and Alcohol - that goes without saying)

Those are mine, ordered in the rate of how much do they affect me:
Alcohol
Lack of sleep
Hunger (I guess it is the lack of sugar in my blood)
Strong light
Thirst
Aromatic smells, like fuel smell

During cycle, beer and alcohol are definitely triggers.

My last cycle started after a night of too much beer and Jagermeister.  Can jagermeister be a trigger of a cycle?  No I will not drink that again to find out, I will never touch Jagermeister again.

Thirty five years searching and I've yet to find a trigger.

I truly wish I could, so long as it's not beer.

Triggers?  As far as I can find, there are no triggers.  My son has kept track, and we have no idea what causes them to start or what causes them to stop.  He has had the headaches for as long as 2 years (with one 6-week break).  He has separated from his wife and has now had a few days in the past 2 months with no headaches.
