Sight Problems?
Jun 24th, 2014 at 3:05pm

Hey hows everyone doing? I'm posting here for a friend who has cluster headaches but doesn't use the interwebs.
His question is this:

"On the side I get the headache I have no focus, and it looks a little like a cobweb, or looking through a net curtain. At the moment I'm waiting on an appointment at hospital on a referral from the optician, and was wondering if anyone else had came across this?"

Thanks for reading!
Peace
Jonny

Has your friend been diagnosed with cluster headaches by a competent doctor?

Almost all cluster sufferers have tearing and pain behind the eye on the cluster side. There may also be a change in the size of the pupil. There can also be tearing of the other eye in sympathy for the pain side eye.

Hey, thanks for getting back to me Smiley.

Yeah, he got diagnosed with them some time last year and gets oxygen delivered. Also gets tramadol, but I'm not sure if it's for the headaches or something else.
Was the doctor that recommended this site for information and stuff.
Anyways, I'll pass on what you've told me. Just to clarify though, there's tearing and pain in the eye, but no weird cob webby effects?

Peace
Jonny

I know exactly the cobwebby effect you mean, getting mine fixed next month, but I've never heard of it being associated with CH. Even so, it's the specialists who must consider all angles.

Thanks for looking after your friend,

Brian.
