My CH.com anniversary
Jun 28th, 2014 at 8:45am

A year ago today since I joined CH.com. I just want to say thank you so much every one for your suggestions and support.

I was at my wits end till I found you all. I had no idea that there were drugs to abort and prevent CH.  I didn't even know about 02. No doctor had ever offered me anything to fight this except pain killers and we all know how much use that is. I found out about everything from you guys and had to ask for it myself. It says a lot when you know more about your condition than your (several) doctors and more or less prescribe for yourself.

So thanks again every one. I am so much better now that I have friends all over the world. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Happy anniversary, my friend!

As for the medical community, don't expect to get much help.  My Neurologist is Associate Professor of Neurology at Loyola University Medical, and he frequently brings in students and tells them to talk to me about CH because I know more about it than does he.  He is not ignorent, and is an excellent[i] neuro.  I'm very grateful for him, but I'm most grateful he knows how to listen, doesn't think the conferrence of an MD degree conferred diety, and he knows what he doesn't know and is not ashamed to admit it.  If you can find such a doctor your will be blessed indeed!

Glad you were able to be helped, and i look forward to having you around her for a long time, PF, but still helping others as you were helped.

Jerry

One year on and what a transformation. It's amazing just how much you can learn here from others. And you've repaid and more all the help you received by helping many, many others with your helpful replies.

The only pill for sadness is happiness,
The only cure for loneliness is friends.
When things ain't looking great,
And you're surrendering to fate,
You need a mate upon you can depend.

Our CH is a pain like no-one else knows,
And we'd never-ever wish it upon them.
We battle through as best we can,
Hand in hand we make our stand,
And as a band we are creme de la creme.

It's our mates who get each of us through it.
Our supporters who back us all the way.
We now have hope, and might is right,
We can cope, an end's in sight,
We thank ch.com, and our friend DJ.

Hi Maz
You were one of the first people to welcome me to this site on my first post. I thank you for making me welcome.
I've read many of your posts and you show a lot of compassion and in sight and are often a calming influence in turbulent waters.
The fact that you are pain free I believe is good kharma coming back on to you for all the help you offer to others.
I hope it continues
All the best

Thanks all you guys for the continued welcome.  I'm addicted to this site and come here every day. Even if I were to be cured overnight I would still look in just for the friendship and chat. And obviously I'd share the cure. Who knows, one day....................

Happy Anniversary.. As we used to say in the "old days"  Sorry you're here, but glad you found us.

And this place is addicting. I've been here since 98 and check in every morning to see who's done what and how everyone is. Don't always post, but do keep up with everyone.

And thanks to Batch and his D3 regimen, I've been PF since Oct 21st and counting. (after being chronic since 97 - or having a LONG episode Smiley ).

Glad you found us.. Stay tuned..  Kiss
