feeling trapped
Jul 10th, 2014 at 9:05am

cant talk to no abt the demons running wild from time to time...
cant talk abt the pain inolved , they say "seeing is believing" but in this case that phrase counts for nothing...
i have two daughters ...so that means when ever "the demon" is running wild i cant allow myself to make a single noise ..they know i suffer from C.H but obviously they dont know exactly what it is...i just want a way out n by that ni dont mean suicide i mean i want to talk face to face with someone that wears the tshirt ,someone thats fighting on the frontline so to speak...as u can only fully understand something when u have suffered ..

Why can't you make any noise around your kids?  As teenagers they are way old enough to face the facts of life and the facts are that you suffer from a condition that excruciatingly painful.  It's not your fault.

Have them come to this site and look around.  Ask questions.  We will set them straight as to what their father is going through.  In a nice way of course.

What Linda said!

An opportunity to meet Clusterheads face to face, and  meet some of us who are able to control and deal with CH is coming in Sept. in Nashville TN.  It will be a life changing weekend! Here's a link:  Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

BTW, clusterbusters.org is an excellent resource for you as well as this one.  they are sister sites.

If you need to talk PM me and I'll give you my phone number.

Adam,

With 5 daughters and 9 Grandchildren, I understand your concern....BUT, I strongly agree with Linda. After 14 years of chronic CH's, my family (kids included) are my biggest supporters.

OH YES INDEED, meeting face to face with other Clusterheads is an uplifting experience - but your family can be your first line of defense.

I found that my kids did better with my CH's when I was totally open and let them see the ugly side. Sure, there are tears and fear at first - but that goes away when they understand what is happening to someone that they love!

Of course, this was before I actually understood how to use oxygen and vitamin therapy accurately enough to control the problem. I'm sure as heck not cured - but now CH's are generally nothing more than a minor inconvenience - compared to the hours of rolling in agony wondering if I would actually survive.

Once in awhile, I get reminder, but O2 kills the sucker way before the dark and scary thoughts creep in........

Life is good again - you can get there too!

Jerry, he is in the U.K. so I imagine coming to Nashville might be out of the question.

Adam, there is in O.U.C.H organization in the U.K. Look it up and some may be near enough for you to have a meet up.

Adam..

I've felt this way, but my grandson (beginning when he was only about 2) has been my biggest supporter (he's almost 13 now). He would see the "signs" and run for my O2 tank and start yelling, "Breathe Granny Breathe!" Then when the hit was over (he knew not to touch me when I was getting hit), he'd ask if I needed a hug.

He has migraines and we support each other but kids really can be supportive if you give them a chance.  Kiss

no one wants to hammer in a "for sale" sign on their kids front lawn....no one wants to put their kids xmas presents on ebay...no one wants to have to tell their kids what "divorce" is...BUTT...behind a dad crying, rolling on the floor and banging his head...is hope
'Dad's in a bad fucking way sweety...i'll be back soon"...THAT they can deal with. I'm goin over here and be a raving zombie fer a few minutes....sorry if i make that sound easy...i just roll my kid in his wheelchair...into the other room.
