I have suffered with ch for 29 years but have been pain free  for 7 years. Unfortunately they came back and I have to start all over with a new doctor and for the last 4 weeks I have been given a whole chemistry set of meds. I even tried the water and organic sea salt regime. No luck then I read the article about batch and the D3 regime.  I know have renewed hope. This site is a god send  and I want to thank all of you who post information to help all of us.

It is wise to not use seveal different treatment plans at the same time (doc's, Vitamin, etc.) for you'll not be able to tell which one is effective.

Hope you are working with a doc who has training/experrience with complex headache disorders. We have too much experience with docs who, lacking the skill, delay getting a good outcome.

If you want to lookfor a headache specialist:

LOCATING HEADACHE SPECIALIST

1. Yellow Pages phone book: look for "Headache Clinics" in the M.D. section and look under "neurologist" where some docs will list speciality areas of practice.

2.  Call your hospital/medical center. They often have an office to assist in finding a physician. You may have to ask for the social worker/patient advocate.

They will send a list of M.D.s for your state.I suggest using this source for several reasons: first, we have read several messages from people who, even seeing neurologists, are unhappy with the quality of care and ATTITUDES they have encountered; second, the clinical director of the Jefferson (Philadelphia) Headache Clinic said, in late 1999, that upwards of 40%+ of U.S. doctors have poor training in treating headache and/or hold attitudes about headache ("hysterical female disorder") which block them from sympathetic and effective work with the patient; third, it's necessary to find a doctor who has experience, skill, and a set of attitudes which give hope of success. This is the best method I know of to find such a physician.

I would recommend a vitamin d3 blood test.  Have you figured out how much they cost?  Without it, the vitamin d3 regime can be difficult to figure out if its working.  I would definitely start on the regime ASAP, but also be looking at getting the blood test done, or at an "at home" test kit being ordered off the internet.
