to be or not to be PF

I have suffered from CH for 20 yrs. with breaks of 5 yrs in between the Kip 9 + that lasted 2 months. Recently hit again 3 months ago. Oxygen has been a fantastic abortive. Steroids effective but only briefly. Varapamil ineffective. Recently the D3 regimen has been introduced and calmed the beast in a few days. I plan to continue this therapy throughout my life, and of course monitor the levels with blood tests. In retrospect of my other cycles, I can't help but realize that I was rarely PF. The shadows were always lurking but I learned to live with them. Back then I was not aware that they could hang around and was elated knowing that the excrutiating pain was at bay. I am confident that the D3 regimen will keep the beast at bay. There seems to be little to nothing else available as a prevntitive that offers other benificial results. Can anyone recall thinking the beast was gone, only to learn more and realize it was lurking ? low pain, occassional sharp hits lasting seconds etc ?

Don,

The D3 regimen has been working for so many of us (and I was chronic from 97 till a year ago when I started it).

If you have any questions about it PM Batch. He's our guru on it and has all the facts.

My hope is that you stay PF for years to come.  Kiss

Barb et al, I just dug up lab work from April. it was done prior to this cycle. I never doubted the speculation of others, but I have confirmation that D3 was in fact insufficient. the results of the 25(OH)D LEVEL = 25 LOW.
