what's on your bucket list

Mine is to spend a month in Germany tracking down relatives.  That's the number one on my list.

Hi Linda,
I'll have to think about this. I've already emptied one bucket.   Smiley

Interesting question.  I've come from pretty humble beginnings to arrive at a comfortable enough spot in my life that I would never have believed it possible back then.  So I suppose that because I don't have an immediate response means that I'm pretty content.  Yeah, I think that's true.

Yes, I'm back in cycle.  No complaints.  It was another good run.  Strange how the interlude allows me to appreciate the things in life that I was consistently told were those that "really mattered".  I don't expect they do for each of us, yet they seem to for me. My kids are in a pretty good spot after having rough years.  Temper by fire.  Get out of the fire in time and one really can benefit.

I wonder how many of us silently say "oh no, here we go again" when the beast returns.  The first few go-rounds I was angry at the fate I suffered.  Now it is reflection time.  What DID I do since the last visit?  Was it fun/satisfying?

Maybe that's my answer, Linda.  I'd like to continue finding a wave to ride, knowing that, no matter how exhilarating they can be, they all end.  The best I hope for is the chance to go out and look for another.

Gotta meet you all someday.  There, that's a more concrete response.  Thanks for being there.  Wonderful community.  I just knew I had to check in as I wandered to the garage to refill the E tanks.  The cold felt good.

Take care, all.

To pass Physical Therapy with enough success that I will be able to walk without pain nor a limp, and then comfortably continue annual backpacking excursions with my son in the rugged Alaskan wilderness.

I've been to 42 states, so I might as well see the remaining 8 before I kick the bucket.
Also, a vacation to Denmark and Norway. Wink

Long range rifle work. We shoot hardened steel target plates that make a distinctive ring when you connect. It's real challenge past 300-400 meters.

I'd love to visit Antarctica, the Grand Canyon and see the northern or southern lights.

In my dreams I'd love to see the Moon, Mars and beyond, however I'm not quite astronaut material with CH and migraines...

Right Mike.

Renon's '65 Mustang is mostly finished and on the road so I guess the next on the list is to build a '28 Ford Model A 2-door sedan street rod.

Hi Linda. I do have a roadster. A '27 Ford hot rod. There's no top, no side windows, no heater. It's a fair weather car.
I want to build a '28-'30 Ford Sedan. I need an enclosed car for cold weather.

John, I love US 2, at least the parts of it I drove.  One place out there at 3 AM I could not see a man made light for 50 miles any direction.  I was on a little hillock, so I could see that far.  BUT, the starlight was bright enough to make out words in a newspaper with no moon.  I want to see that again!

I want to get in a vehicle and drive all over the US showing my Linda some of teh beautiful places I've been.  I want her to see canola blooming in ND and Saskatchewan, the timber in Washington State and BC.  I want to drive her down a little highway from the Love's Truckstop in Wamsutter WY to I 70 just west of Avon CO.  Then I want to drive her up to the Wild Horse MT crossing into Canada and up rt 41 to Route 1 into Medicine Hat.  It's one of the prettiest drives I ever took, and I sorry I didn't find it until just before I quit driving.

There are a lot of other areas I want to go, but those are some of the highlights that she has not seen yet.

Once I have satisfied myself in the US and Canada I want to visit New Zealand and Ireland, and I want to take the Band of Brothers Tour in Europe.  Not in any particular order.

In order for me to do any of this you all are going to have to buy a LOT of my books!  LOL

Went to Bristle speedway for the NASCAR night race last year was on my bucket list. Patti got me tickets for my birthday 😃 and got to see Hank Williams jr! Than to top it off Patti has a heartatack while we were there 😢so we make it home and she went for open heart surgery triple bypass! So the next thing on my bucket list was for her to be healthy! And she is! 😊 don't know if I should start a new list or not !

Jerry New Zealand would be fascinating. I've often thought doing heavy haul across Australia would be a nice grand finally to my career as a truck driver.

Gosh, that's a hard one.. I've about emptied several buckets .. but I guess I'd really love to go back to Australia .. I loved it there.

My grandson, Caleb, and I started a savings account several years ago and we call it our Australian Fund. By the time we get enough money in it maybe he'll be big enough to push my wheelchair around.  Tongue  But that's what we want to do.
