Quick Imigran question
Jan 26th, 2015 at 2:11pm

Hi peoples
Looks like I'm back after a very welcome 2 year and 5 month break, just one quick question , are the Imigran injections I've just found with a 2011 expiry date safe to use ?

I have others but not enough to last until I can get my prescription refilled.

Thanks in advance
Nigel

I have not tried it myself, but others here say they have and all was OK. I have about 6 expired injections and I will use them up when my expected cycle starts in Feb. Too precious to waste. I have to add though they are only about 6 months out of date.

They may not be as effective, but as for actual safety, perhaps your chemist could tell you.

If it has not been stored in high temptures it's likely O.K. At the worst, drugs may lose strength but are not a danger.

Thanks peoples

I half remember reading a post on here on the subject by someone who worked for GSK saying they were ok to use out of date just might not be as effective . I couldn't fined the post though , I was just thinking 4 years out of date might be pushing it a bit.

Been hit 3 times today used the injections for two and sweated the other one out , luckily it was short lived.
Ive got my prescription in but with our doctors surgery its not likely to be ready till the end of the week.

until then Ive got two packs left that are only a few months out of date and two packs dated February 2011.

starting Propranolol tablets today , and if they work as well as they did in my last cycle I shouldn't need any more Imigran (fingers crossed )

Thanks again

Nigel
