What colour front door does the person have who wears a black coat?
No please Mr /Mrs DJ this is not a crank (well not meant to be ) post. But it might drag on a bit.
I am deeply grateful to this site and certain members who helped me out with some advice (Stop Takin' The Pills!) Its not advice that I would ordinarily have taken from people I don't know and have no medical qualificatitions (as far as I know) but I took it as a prod in a direction that I probably had to take anyway. I was maxed out on painkillers and they were poisoning me.
I don't recommend anyone stopping their meds without consulting their MD. It may kill kill you!
But stop I did and am here to clog this blog. One thing I did during the long sleepless nights was research what the heck was causing my problem and was there a cure. Yep I hear, plenty have been down that path..
What I have decided is my problem in my hypothalamus, it can't defend itself so its getting the blame and if its not to blame; so what? Something else that I don't understand must be to blame.
And here’s where the front door colour comes in. I played with a hybrid analysis tool (a mix of fireside logic problem solving and proper multi-variable analytics).
The fireside thing goes like this; Messrs Brown, Black, White, Green and Grey have Front Doors, Bicycles, Coats and Key Fobs of corresponding colours to their surnames but not necessarily belonging to them. You are given facts about the relationship of who is connected to what and then you have to find out who lives at the house with a white door.
The other multi variable thing is different.
So there I was constructing multidimensional matrices about all kind of things, one that I liked was to do with atmospheric pressure, altitude, tilt of the Earth (seasons), Blood pressure, Sinus P and Cranial P, body cycles. And drugs invented to stop fits, depression, make you high, help gout and other stuff.
Other Matrices were not so rewarding; how vitamins, hormones, electrolytes chemicals, genes etc react and over what time period.
Another was how emotions, placebos and relationships come into play with the others. That was also too hard so I ignored it.
Then I looked at what was important for the patient (me) as opposed to the Dr who I am seeking help from. And that was interesting.
Me, I want the pain to stop.
The Dr's, well they want to solve my problem but don't know how so begin a series of trial and error experiments. And then there are the Experts.
The Experts want a correct diagnosis; 14 days per month or more with pain you've got this, 13 days you haven't. Positive response to this drug and you have that, no response you haven’t.
Two of the world's Experts are currently having a bit of a public fall out over diagnostic protocol; their patient's wait patiently!
What does all this mean? If you find a "cure" you are lucky.
And by luck I mean serendipity has had a hand it it, the drug that works for you was most likely designed for something quite different but when the patient went back to the doc and was asked how's the so and so? S/He replied "still no improvement but my headaches better".
Its definitely my hypothalamus and Mr Brown has a black coat.
