end it
Feb 24th, 2015 at 2:14am

I've just about come to the end of the road... I'm not in cycle of head pain but that pain that continues after cycle... I've lost my family because of these damndablethings and now I'm approaching very quickly the loss of my home also... It seems as though they worsen every year and for the last few years I've begun to get violent ... I've never hurt my wife of sixteen years but I know she was afraid of me doing so before she left... We have a 3000 square foot home and I chose to move to the basement and remove myself from thier presense because I know they could hear me screaming and cursing God and anything else I could direct my anger towards... If I'm not living in deranged pain then I'm living in fear of that pain beginning again... I simply can't do it any longer and I wont... I can't I'm sorry kids

There's so many of us here know exactly how you feel, mate. We've been there and it's a horrible, horrible place.

It's dark, it's frightening, there's no way out and it's just so bloody lonely.

Welcome to clusterheadaches.com where we honestly understand because every one of us here is either a sufferer of these monsters or supports someone who must endure the hell only we know.

Where abouts in the world are you? Perhaps one of us is just around the corner and can lend a helping hand.

We care, Tremerz, because we know. Truly, we know and understand.

Their is a link to your left on this page, where we live, if

Hi Tremerz and welcome to somewhere where everyone understands what CH is truly like as we all either get them ourselves or support someone with them.

Are you working with a headache specialist?

Do you have any preventive medication, something like verapamil, lithium or topomax?

Do you have any way to kill off a CH when one arrives, something like oxygen, imitrex (sumatriptan / imigran) or similar?

Getting a good preventive and ways to kill off a CH can make a massive difference to the quality of life, it can be simply life changing.

Tell us more and we can see what we can do to help.

It will help us to direct you to good sources of assistance if you will tell us where you live (city & state, if U.S. or country). At the Home page: Help button-->Edit & Profile --> Location. (This will add your location, just below your name, every time you post a message.
===================================
We need some basic infomation from you before we can offer any useful help.

Are you seeing a doctor? Have you been given a diagnosis? Are you using any medications to treat your headaches?

Please don't give up. We all know what it's like to feel that way, but we can help you in so many ways. Please tell us more about yourself - location, meds you've tried, your work etc. All this can help pinpoint cause, meds to try and doctors to see.

This condition cannot be cured, but with the right help you can have your life back. I think we have all had moments of violence to some degree - I've punched walls and I've punched myself in the head more than once. And I mean really PUNCHED (and I'm a granny).  SmileyJust know it's not you, it's the pain that causes it.

Please come back with the info we've asked for. There is so much we can tell you that will help, but we need to know what you've tried first.
Maz.

Tangerine,  You are absolutely right. What the doctors really need is a 90 minute CH.
Now, I wouldn't wish this on any one, but just one wouldn't kill 'em ( we know that) and it would do us so much good for ever more. I'm absolutely convinced that if it could happen there would be a LOT more help available, more research done, and maybe even a cure found.

Tremerz,   The after pains that you talk of are what we call shadows and they can be dealt with. The pain of a full blown cycle can also be dealt with, if you have the right advice. Please come back and talk to us. We can help.
Maz.
