Hello..New to CH.com

Hi
I am a chronic mig and CCH sufferer of at least 9 years. Botox helped my migs and put me back into episodic. CCH is proving more tricky.
Just coming off verapamil due to complications. Waiting for Gammercore, as have exhausted prevent medication route. DHE/GONB didn't work either. Have a great  CH friendly neuro in UK whom I trust.
I am looking at the D3 regime with interest as I have a history of low D3 and by default of that calcium too, which no doc has been able to explain..tested hyper parathyroid and levels fine, so not that.
There's  not ( as far as I am aware) much going on regarding monitoring or trailing in my area of the UK, so am unsure about going it alone or suggesting it to my specialist...he's a figures/clinical trial kinda guy , so likes to see facts and figures based evidence.
Can anyone help point me in the right direction...I have the regime printed off this site and seems pretty straight forward to follow...but would like to convince my doc it's a safe thing to try.

Many thanks and PF wishes to all.

Messages from your world are rather consistent in compaining about inadequate local sources/skill with headche disorders.

I understand that you have the right to by-pass local docs and move to a hedache clinic.

Sugest you conatact your excellent Cluster support group for guidance:

Hi and welcome

When you say you've exhausted the preventive route, what have you tried and in what doses? Often some are missed or not a high enough dose for CH use is given.

For preventives, have you got oxygen (see Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register Have you got imitrex (imigran / sumatriptan) as either injections or nasal spray?

There have been a few threads here about gammacore, so I'd find them using the search (top left of each page).

For lots of D3 related info, PM Batch, he has a load of material on it.

Plus I second Bob's suggestion about Ouch UK.

Hey Witzend,

You are very welcome here. You will get loads of good advice and support, so read lots and ask questions.

Tell me a bit more about the Gammacore. Where are you getting it from. Have you used it before. Is it part of a trial......that sort of thing.

I know a bit about the Device and its usefulness, being first introduced to it back in 2012.

Take care,

Peter.
