An old priest lay dying. He asked to see his tax officer and his lawyer. They arrived at the hospital and were quickly ushered into his room.

He motioned for them to sit one each side of his bed, and took each of their hands in his. He sighed contentedly and closed his eyes.

No one spoke for a long time, but the tax officer and the lawyer were both confused as to why the priest had asked them to come.

Eventually one of them asked " Father, why did you ask us here"  The old priest mustered all his strength, smiled, and muttered " Jesus died between two thieves, and what's good enough for him is good enough for me".
