My cluster headaches just started again...
May 15th, 2016 at 6:30pm

Hey folks,

I've had these ch's for about 20 years now and once again the agony begins so like usual I get my O2 and sumatriptan and try to get myself ready for 3+ months of pain and little sleep.

I get them about every 1.5 to 2 years and they last 3 to 6 months.

Today I was looking for new research and treatments that are out there and came across this: w w w.gammaCore.c o m

I didn't see any info or reference to this here so It's too good to not share.

Completely non-invasive therapy stimulates the cervical branch of the vagus nerve. No surgery. No invasive procedure.

I have an apt. with my neurologist to get me one and see if it will help me before I try the botox treatment.

If anyone has used this I am curious of the result you're getting.

I will post my results after I try it hopefully soon...real soon.

Goodbye pills, Hello technology!

G'day Spoul, welcome, and certainly we want to know all about how things go with your gamma.cor so get in touch as soon as you find out more and see your neuro.

In the meantime you might like to tell us what you've tried previously, what's worked and what hasn't, and perhaps we can offer a few tips about what's new around here.

Only better days ahead,

Brian down under.

Hi Spoul and welcome

There have been quite a few posts on these forums about Gammacore which you can read using the search function:

Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

What else have you been using?

Have you read up on how many of us are using vitamin D3 very effectively?

Oxygen is also great for aborting CHs, have you given that a go?

Keep reading all you can here and ask lots of questions...

Hi Spoul,

Check out the link Mike has given you. I have posted a number of times about gammaCore, which I've been using for a few years now.

Alternatively, use the search box above.

If you want to send me a PM I will happily reply with any info I can.

As the guys said, it would help if you gave us a rundown on what you have used to date to control your CH.

Keep well,

Peter.

Thanks for the responses and info. It's much appreciated.
I would like to try the D3 regiment but am having trouble finding it on here. I'm not very good with forums and get lost easily. A link would be wonderful.

I'll try and compile all the things I've tried over the years and what has helped me in the next few days all depending on how much sleep I get. Next to the pain, the sleep deprivation is what affects me the most and makes it difficult to think and function.

Thanks in advance you guys are great. It's really nice to get feedback from people that actually know how it feels to have CH. I've had so many people including doctors just assuming I was a big baby because of a "headache"

Cheers!

You love lots of things if you live around them. But there isn't any woman and there isn't any horse, that’s as lovely as a great airplane. If it's a beautiful fighter, your heart will be ever there
