I may have found a cure...
May 22nd, 2016 at 2:55pm

Hi all, quick brief on me...

Since the age of 16 ( now 48) ive been suffering with clusters, and over the past 10 years or so they have gotten worse. They were text book, always came on end of April and lasted 4-8 weeks, 2 per day, always at 1 am and then again 8am. It was only around 7 years ago that i discovered Sumitriptan and i would take a full pill as soon as the pain came. I would then have an ice pack on my head and then rock myself until the pain started leaving. Realizing the pain is starting to ease is the best feeling ive ever experienced, its almost worth getting a cluster to feel the ecstasy of knowing its on its way out!! The pain with me usually lasts on average 40 mins but then as you all know, afterwards you are just drained. I love a pint of beer but for 8 weeks its a no no as that would bring a cluster on within 10 mins if i am in the cycle. Its terrible and any one who suffers has my sympathy. Most of my friends still just think i get migraines!! How annoying is that? They just dont understand.

Right then... in January 2015 my mum was diagnosed with lung cancer and i started looking at alternative medicines for her and whilst looking i came across a link for Chlorella pills that might help cancer sufferers, it also mentioned " known to cure migraine and cluster headaches" i though why not so in February 2015 i started taking 6 500mg chlorella pills per day along with 2 liters of water minimum. I have not had a cluster since then!!   The big test was the end of April last year, i waited and waited for my cycle to start, but it never came, and the same this year. I drink so much water i am peeing all the time and i am sure this has something to do with it, but if it works for me, why not for you?
I buy Holland and Barrett organic Chinese chlorella, take 6 per day and lots of water, thats it!! The chlorella helps produce oxygen which i believe is part of the reason we suffer so much.
The only sad part of this story is my mum passed away in May 2015 but she would be so happy for me knowing that i may have found my cure for my clusters as she knew how miserable they would make me for 8 weeks every year.

Why not give them a try, they are so good for you anyway, so whats to lose.

Hope ive not bored you.
Glynn

G'day Glynn,
Glad you've found something that helps you to control the  Smiley. I've also read of folks getting relief by taking Chlorophyll.

Cheers Hoppy
