Change for worse after put on celebre for other ai
Aug 14th, 2016 at 3:32pm

I recently started celebrex for back pain. Since I started my headaches have been horrible. O2 three times then took trip tan and still wouldn't knock it out. It has been in high 80's low 90's also not sure if the heat is a factor or new med or both! Anyone had this response from celebrex ? Scared if 02 quits working I don't know what I'll do!

I hope that you are working with a headache specialist. Many docs, even neurologists, lack the experience and training to cope with coplex situations.

For attacks which have a long life, oxygen is not the best respons because of is short life. The duration of you attacks can be matched to the duration of the abortive life of the med you use.

Print the file, below, and use it to discuss options with your
doc.
=== If you have need;

LOCATING HEADACHE SPECIALIST

1. Yellow Pages phone book: look for "Headache Clinics" in the M.D. section and look under "neurologist" where some docs will list speciality areas of practice.

2.  Call your hospital/medical center. They often have an office to assist in finding a physician. You may have to ask for the social worker/patient advocate.

3. Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register On-line screen to find a physician.

4. Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register Look for "Physician Finder" search box. They will send a list of M.D.s for your state.I suggest using this source for several reasons: first, we have read several messages from people who, even seeing neurologists, are unhappy with the quality of care and ATTITUDES they have encountered; second, the clinical director of the Jefferson (Philadelphia) Headache Clinic said, in late 1999, that upwards of 40%+ of U.S. doctors have poor training in treating headache and/or hold attitudes about headache ("hysterical female disorder") which block them from sympathetic and effective work with the patient; third, it's necessary to find a doctor who has experience, skill, and a set of attitudes which give hope of success. This is the best method I know of to find such a physician.

5. Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register NEW certification program for "Headache Medicine" by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties, an independent, non-profit, professional medical organization.
        Since this is a new program, the initial listing is limited and so it should be checked each time you have an interest in locating a headache doctor.

Thanks Bob, I have been chronic for approx 15 years. Been on every med from topamax,depakote, migranal, stadol, maxalt, o2. My neurologist had me diagnose with ms and clusters. Went to u of m and said no to ms yes to clusters. I'm on verapmil 02 and rizatriptan. 02 is my best friend usually works first time. Problem is I also have intracorotid fibromuscular dysplasia and my doc doesn't want me taking Tristan's unless absolutely necessary. I quit celebrex for now to see if it helps. Thanks again. Also tried growing from cluster busters but not a green thumb.!
