Masturbation?
Apr 13th, 2017 at 8:56am

Please don't flame me....this is a genuine question....and would be interested in other's thoughts on this.

I've read anecdotally that sex/masturbation can stop an attack.  To be honest, during an attack, this is the last thing I want to think about....and cannot imagine anyone even being remotely capable.

Currently 24 days into a cycle (38 days is the longest ever for me), on 360mg/day verapamil, plus sumatriptan as and when needed.

Almost constant shadows between attacks to varying degrees.

So, last night, I was *ahem* in the mood.  Being single, I only have the solo option.

In the lead up to orgasm, my shadows all but faded away.

I finished, sans-shadows of any noticeable degree, then, 15-20 minutes later, WHAM!!!  I was was hit with close to a full on attack (around kip 8 until I took an abortive - and even then, it was 3 hours until I shook off the attack sompletely).

Just wondering whether it was just a co-incidence, or if there is a link.

Any thoughts are most welcome.

Sex and masturbation have been mentioned a few times as a way to abort CHs or at least to decrease their severity. Although I've no idea how you'd be able to mid-CH be able to even try, O2 or imitrex are easier.

Yea I've noticed orgasming in general has helped the pain, but not by much. It's limiting, and I can't force masturbation whenever I get a headache. It can reduce maybe 20% of the symptoms, but they always tend to return once the euphoria of the orgasm has dissipated.

Ok so here is my story. My ch has taken a nasty toll on my marriage. While in an attack it can halp the pain but about 10 minutes later full blown 10 on kip scale. Even the solo duty does this to me. I live my man i love our bedroom life but because of my situation im scared of sex. I know this may not help but in my current ch situation its not a coincidence it suck.
