Are you a new CH sufferer? Just curious because you said that you are only taking imitrex nasal. I think that most CH sufferers will agree that the nasal does nothing. If it does act, it is not fast enough. You need to take the injection to abort the headache. Besides that, are you on any prophylactics? Imitrex only aborts a headache once you get it. You need to be on one of the meds that will prevent you from getting the headache (or at least prevent the pain, the headache is still there). There are several. Some work for some. Others work for others. For me, a combination of tapering prednisone and verapimal worked for 8 years. Last summer, it did not. I was then placed on a host of several other meds, none of which worked. I was finally placed in the hospital for D.H.E. treatment and that worked. I can't imagine that your doc just gave you imitrex nasal. Well, strike that, I can imagine. Hoping that you have pain free days.
