I have to relay this story to you all. I hope you get a giggle from it!!
I was looking through the horse racing guide one Friday night last year. It lists the horses running at the major track for the following day.
Nothing really took my fancy until I looked at race 7 and there it was, horse number 11......Clusterous!!
This is it.....it's a message from God I thought and planned to go and back it the following day.
The next day started with a C.H at 5:00a.m. I took this to be the final reminder to bet on the horse. I moped around the house for most of the day, fighting of a couple more mild attacks. One hour before the race I jumped in the shower to get ready and go to the T.A.B. ( Australian Betting Shop ) but when I got out...BANG...the mother of all clusters hit. This one put me out of action for three hours and I missed the race.
Next day I buy the paper......look up the results.....and there it was... the winner...Clusterous...and the official winning margin....A HEAD !! Who was it that said.."sometimes truth is stranger than fiction"?? Paid 12/1 odds too...
