I had acute CH for 7 years which have become chronic for the last 2. The CH now are not as sever as they were when I had acute CH. I take 240 SR Verapamil twice a day and 10 mg Maxalt to abort an attack. It works 100% of the time in 15 minutes. I also take Oxygen whenever I can not to becomr to dependent on Maxalt. I also take prednisone when things start to get outof control. Bottom line my CH are a nusance and not devistating my life. This message is only to let people with similar symptoms to be sure to try Maxalt. It may also work for acute cases. It is by far the best drug I have ever taken with no side effects.
