Now this is not totally flippant (just a bit flippant).
Why not drop the word “headache” and add on an “s”. I have never yet had anybody reply to my answer to the question, “What have you got?” - “Clusters” - “Yeah, I get them”.
If the questioner probes further, I say, “It’s a brain chemical imbalance problem” They never reply, “I take Tylenol, for mine”.
However, if it’s your boss at work that’s asking the questions, I suggest you just stick to “headaches”. You are less likely then to get (and I think this is how you put it on your side of the Pond) your ass fired!
